Mr. Paul Levinsohn, a founder of the New York City Regional Center explained that his regional center encompasses all of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. Foreign investments are made in Targeted Employment Areas which are areas of high unemployment. “Since our approval in 2008, the NYCRC is working to help fund a number of large public/private real estate projects that are creating much needed construction jobs in areas such as downtown Brooklyn and the Bronx,” noted Mr. Levinsohn. Levinsohn went on to note that the NYCRC is overseen by the United States Citizenship Immigration Services (“USCIS”), a division of the Department of Homeland Security.

Paul Levinsohn and George Olsen are the Managing Principals of NYCRC

The New York City Regional Center was approved in 2008 by the USCIS to secure foreign investment funding for real estate projects in Queens, the Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. Paul Levinsohn and George Olsen are both the Managing Principals of the New York City Regional Center, or NYCRC. Both Olsen and Levinsohn are attorneys who have extensive backgrounds in finance and real estate. “The EB-5 program was established by Congress to create jobs through foreign investment,” said Paul Levinsohn. “It has become a significant source of financing for important New York City projects such as the redevelopment of the City’s East River waterfront and the Brooklyn Navy Yard.”

Paul Levinsohn Led an Investment Team

In 2008, Paul Levinsohn led an investment team that purchased the assets of a Maine-based nutritional supplement company. The investment team consisted of individuals with significant experience in retail distribution and investment banking. The principals have also worked closely with some of the largest retailers in the United States and Asia and have overseen various companies in a wide range of industry sectors. Mr. Levinsohn has been an attorney for the past 17 years and has a strong history in running companies and turning around distressed assets.

Under Mr. Levinsohn’s leadership, the company has expanded its retail distribution to include Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Costco, Sam’s Club, and The Vitamin Shoppe.

“Our team in Westbrook, Maine prides itself on providing premium, specialty supplements that meet the retail consumers growing health and wellness needs,” noted Mr. Levinsohn. “Our manufacturing partner’s facility primarily develops products for healthcare professionals, so only the finest raw materials are used and all manufacturing is performed under the strictest of guidelines.”
